The Fruit of the Spirit in Sales [Sales Professional #61]

The Fruit of the Spirit in Sales [Sales Professional #61]

Scripture: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” — Galatians 5:22–23 (ESV)

Devotional

Sales culture often rewards aggressiveness, self-promotion, and urgency. The kingdom of God grows different fruit. As a Christian sales professional, your greatest distinctiveness is not your technique but your transformed character.

Imagine the impact if your clients and coworkers experienced love instead of manipulation, joy instead of cynicism, peace instead of panic, patience instead of pressure, kindness instead of sharpness, goodness instead of compromise, faithfulness instead of flakiness, gentleness instead of harshness, and self-control instead of impulsiveness.

This fruit is not something you manufacture through sheer effort. It is produced as you yield to the Holy Spirit—abiding in Christ, confessing sin, and walking closely with Him. The more surrendered you are, the more this fruit will naturally show up in your calls, meetings, and negotiations.

Your life in sales is one of the primary orchards where the Spirit wants to bear this fruit.

Reflection Questions:

·       Which aspect of the fruit of the Spirit is most visible in my work right now?

·       Which one is most lacking and needs intentional surrender to God?

·       How would my clients describe the “fruit” they experience from me?

Prayer

Holy Spirit, bear Your fruit in me. Replace my fleshly reactions with Your love, joy, peace, and self-control. Let my daily interactions in sales clearly display Your work within me. Amen.
