Devotional
Names matter. They carry identity, dignity, and meaning. When you remember someone’s name—especially someone who doesn’t expect you to—it creates a moment of honor. Whether it’s a receptionist, a security guard, a maintenance worker, or a client’s assistant, remembering their name says, “You matter.”
God calls each of us by name. He doesn’t reduce us to categories—“the landlord,” “the tenant,” “the investor.” He sees individuals. When you follow His example, you show people a glimpse of His heart.
Remembering names requires intentionality. Keep notes. Review names before meetings. Pay attention during introductions. Over time, this small discipline creates a reputation: “They notice people. They honor others.”
And honoring others is foundational to serving with excellence.

Do I consistently try to learn and remember the names of everyone involved in my deals—or only the “important” players?
Who’s one person I can honor this week simply by remembering and using their name?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for calling me by name. Help me reflect Your love by remembering and honoring the names of those around me. Amen.
