The Gift of Wise Counsel [Financial Advisor #182]
Listen to today's devotional:
Scripture
“Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.” — Proverbs 15:22.
Devotional
One of the primary ways God works in our lives is through wise counsel.
As a financial advisor, you regularly provide guidance to others. You help people think clearly, evaluate options, and make thoughtful decisions.
But even advisors need advisors.
No one possesses all wisdom.
No one sees every blind spot.
No one is meant to navigate life completely alone.
God often provides direction through trusted mentors, mature believers, professional peers, and wise friends.
Seeking counsel requires humility.
It means acknowledging that your perspective may be incomplete.
It means valuing wisdom more than pride.
Strong leaders understand this principle.
They ask questions.
They seek input.
They remain teachable.
Most importantly, they recognize that God often uses other people to provide clarity and direction.
The willingness to seek counsel is not weakness.
It is wisdom.
And wise counsel can prevent unnecessary mistakes while opening doors to opportunities you might otherwise miss.
