Scripture: “The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him.” — Proverbs 11:1 (ESV)
Devotional
Honesty is not just good business—it is God’s heart. Proverbs makes it clear: God opposes deception in any form, especially in matters involving fairness, representation, and value. As a sales professional, your integrity is constantly tested.
Every proposal, every claim, every explanation is an opportunity to choose honesty over exaggeration, clarity over confusion, truth over tactics.
Dishonesty may secure temporary wins, but it destroys long-term trust—and it forfeits God’s favor. Nothing is worth that price.
Honesty honors God. Honesty protects your reputation. Honesty strengthens relationships. Honesty creates peace within your own heart.
When you represent your product accurately, pricing transparently, and commitments truthfully, you reflect the character of Christ. Your honesty becomes a ministry.
In a world filled with sales gimmicks, manipulative strategies, and hidden terms, your truthfulness will shine like a beacon of light.
Reflection Questions:
· Where am I most tempted to exaggerate or soften the truth in my sales process?
· How can I strengthen transparency with clients?
· What does honest representation look like in today’s work?
Prayer
Lord, make truth my default. Keep my heart aligned with integrity in every detail of my work. Let my honesty be a testimony that points others to You. Amen.
