Scripture: “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt…” — Colossians 4:6 (ESV)
Devotional
Clear communication might not sound spiritual, but it is deeply tied to love, truth, and service. Confusing emails, unclear expectations, vague explanations, or last-minute surprises frustrate clients and strain relationships. Many problems in commercial real estate don’t come from bad intentions—they come from poor communication.
As a Christian broker, your communication can become a ministry. When your words are clear, timely, and gracious, you serve people. You reduce their anxiety. You respect their time. You help them make wise decisions. When your tone is thoughtful—even in tense moments—you model a different spirit than the world expects.
People don’t always remember exactly what you say, but they always remember how you made them feel. Your communication should leave others feeling informed, respected, and valued. Even when delivering hard news, honesty wrapped in kindness builds trust.
There is no such thing as “just an email.” Every message is an opportunity to reflect Christ through clarity, truthfulness, and grace.
Reflection Questions:
· Which part of my communication style most needs strengthening—clarity, timing, or tone?
· How can I begin each workday more intentional about communicating like Christ?
Prayer
Lord, help my communication reflect You—truthful, gracious, and clear. Use my words to bring peace, clarity, and encouragement to every person I serve today. Amen.
