The Ministry of Follow-Through [Commercial Broker #57]

The Ministry of Follow-Through [Commercial Broker #57]

Scripture

“Let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18 (ESV)

Devotional

Talk is cheap in commercial real estate. Everyone can promise—few consistently deliver. That’s why follow-through is one of the most Christlike ways you can serve clients.

Follow-through looks like:

• sending what you promised when you promised it,

• updating clients before they have to ask,

• closing the loop on tasks,

• and staying engaged even after closing.

Following through shows you value people’s time. It communicates reliability in a world full of empty words. And over the long term, it sets you apart as someone whose actions are trustworthy.

Your follow-through becomes a form of love expressed in “deed and truth.” It is integrity lived out in the mundane—but the mundane is where most trust is built.

Reflection Questions

Where am I most prone to delay or forget follow-through?

What simple system can help me maintain consistency in fulfilling my commitments?

Prayer

Lord, help my actions match my words. Give me discipline to follow through faithfully so others experience Your love through my reliability. Amen.
