The Ministry of Follow-Through [Sales Professional #23]

Scripture: “Let your ‘Yes’ be yes and your ‘No’ be no.” — Matthew 5:37 (ESV)

Devotional

Follow-through is one of the rarest yet most powerful forms of professionalism in sales. When you do what you say you’ll do—when you keep your word—you stand out immediately. Jesus teaches that integrity in speech is a reflection of the heart.

Following through on promises, callbacks, updates, and commitments communicates respect, dependability, and Christlike character. It shows clients they can trust you even when circumstances change. It shows coworkers they can rely on you when pressures rise.

Your follow-through is a ministry because it reflects God’s faithfulness. God always keeps His word. When you keep yours, you mirror His nature.

Even simple acts like sending the proposal when promised, returning calls promptly, or giving clear updates build credibility and open doors for deeper influence.

Reflection Questions:

·       Where in my work do I need to strengthen my follow-through?

·       How does keeping my word reflect the character of Christ?

·       What promise or commitment can I fulfill today?

Prayer

Lord, make my words and actions consistent. Help me honor commitments and reflect Your faithfulness in every detail of my work. Let my reliability honor You. Amen.
