The Responsibility of Trust [Financial Advisor #63]

The Responsibility of Trust [Financial Advisor #63]

Scripture: “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” — 1 Corinthians 4:2

Devotional

Trust is one of the most valuable things your clients give you.

They trust your judgment. They trust your integrity. They trust that you will act in their best interest. And with that trust comes responsibility.

Scripture reminds us that when we are entrusted with something, we are called to be faithful with it. That includes not just financial resources, but relationships, influence, and reputation.

Faithfulness means consistency. It means showing up prepared. It means communicating clearly. It means acting with integrity—even when it’s inconvenient.

Your clients may never articulate it this way, but your faithfulness reflects something deeper. It points to a God who is faithful, trustworthy, and unchanging.

Handle trust carefully. It is both a privilege and a calling.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How do you currently view the trust your clients place in you?

  2. Are there areas where you could grow in faithfulness or consistency?

  3. How can your actions reflect God’s faithfulness to others?

Prayer

Lord, help me be faithful with the trust placed in me. Let my actions reflect Your character and bring confidence to those I serve.
