Preparation isn’t glamorous, but it’s deeply spiritual. When you research a client, refine a proposal, rehearse a presentation, or plan your week, you’re exercising stewardship. Proverbs commends preparation—getting the work ready before building on it.
Preparation communicates:
Respect for the people you’re serving.
Commitment to excellence for God’s glory.
Humility that refuses to “wing it” out of laziness or pride.
Jesus even spoke of “counting the cost” before building a tower or going to war. Thoughtful preparation honors Him because it reflects His own orderly, intentional nature.
See your prep time as more than a prelude. It is a discipline where you partner with God—asking Him to bless your planning, shape your perspectives, and ready your heart for the conversations ahead.
