Scripture: “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” — Luke 12:48
Devotional
As a financial advisor, you operate in a space of significant influence. The guidance you provide affects not only numbers on a page but real lives—families, futures, retirements, and legacies. Your recommendations can shape how people live, give, and prepare for generations to come.
This level of influence carries weight. It is not something to take lightly, nor is it something to fear. It is something to steward.
In the world’s eyes, influence is often used for personal gain—building reputation, increasing revenue, or expanding control. But in God’s Kingdom, influence is given for service. It is a tool to help others flourish, not just financially, but spiritually and relationally.
When you sit across from a client, you are not just offering financial advice—you are helping shape their priorities. You have the opportunity to guide them toward wisdom instead of fear, generosity instead of scarcity, and trust in God instead of dependence on wealth.
This is sacred work.
Faithfulness in your role means asking deeper questions:
Am I guiding clients toward what is merely profitable—or what is truly wise?
Am I helping them build wealth—or helping them build a legacy that honors God?
You have been entrusted with much. Let that truth lead you to serve with humility, integrity, and eternal perspective.
Reflection Questions:
• How do you view the influence you have in your clients’ lives?
• Are there ways you can guide clients toward greater Kingdom impact?
• What does faithful stewardship of influence look like in your role?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the influence You’ve entrusted to me. Help me to use it wisely and selflessly. Guide my words, my advice, and my intentions so that I serve others well and honor You in every decision. Amen.
