The Weight of Trust [Residential Broker #17]

Scripture: “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches.” — Proverbs 22:1 (ESV)

Devotional

Clients trust you with one of their most valuable possessions—their home. That trust is a privilege, not a right. And Scripture teaches that a trustworthy reputation is worth more than financial gain.

In a competitive market, many pursue quick wins, flashy marketing, or shortcuts. But trust is what creates long-term influence. Trust is what brings referrals. Trust is what distinguishes you as a follower of Christ in this industry.

How do you build trust? Through consistency. Through honesty. Through clear communication. Through doing what you say you will do. Trust grows slowly but can be lost quickly. Guard it with integrity, humility, and diligence.

When people trust you, they open up. They ask deeper questions. They share real concerns. They experience Christ through your character.

Reflection Questions:

·       What is my reputation among clients and colleagues?

·       Is there anything in my conduct that could damage trust?

·       How can I strengthen my reliability today?

Prayer

Father, help me value integrity over profit and character over quick success. Build in me a trustworthy heart and a good name that honors You. Amen.
