Trusting God During Delays [Banker #124]
Scripture
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage…” — Psalm 27:14
Devotional
Delays can be frustrating.
In banking, you may experience delayed approvals, stalled opportunities, slow progress, or unanswered questions. Personally, you may also face seasons where career advancement, financial goals, or future plans seem uncertain or postponed.
Waiting tests trust.
It is easy to become impatient when progress feels slower than expected. But God often uses delays to develop patience, humility, wisdom, and deeper dependence on Him.
A delay is not necessarily a denial.
Sometimes God protects you through waiting. Sometimes He prepares you during waiting. Sometimes He redirects you through waiting.
Faithfulness during delays requires trusting that God’s timing is wiser than your own. He sees what you cannot see and works beyond what you can currently understand.
Today, resist frustration and continue faithfully where God has placed you right now.
Reflection Questions
• What delays or unanswered questions am I struggling with currently?
• How can I trust God more fully during seasons of waiting?
Action Step
When frustration about delays rises today, pause and intentionally remind yourself that God’s timing is trustworthy.
Prayer
Father, help me trust You during seasons of waiting. Give me patience, peace, and confidence in Your perfect timing. Amen.
