Scripture: “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 (ESV)
Devotional
Developers are trained to plan, forecast, and manage risk. Yet outcomes remain uncertain despite diligence. Proverbs 16:3 invites a deeper surrender—not only of effort, but of expectation. Committing work to the Lord means releasing control over results.
Trusting God with outcomes frees you from carrying weight you were never meant to bear. Obedience becomes the measure of faithfulness; results rest with God. This surrender brings peace without diminishing responsibility.
When God establishes your plans, success is defined by alignment rather than achievement. Faithful effort paired with trust creates confidence even when paths are unclear.
Reflection Questions:
Where am I holding too tightly to outcomes?
How does surrender reshape my expectations?
What does faithful effort look like today?
Prayer
Lord, I commit my work and its outcomes to You. Help me trust You fully and walk faithfully in obedience. Amen.
