Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5.
Devotional
Financial advisors spend much of their careers helping others prepare for the future. You help clients navigate uncertainty, plan for retirement, prepare for unexpected events, and pursue long-term goals.
Yet even with all your planning expertise, your own future remains ultimately in God's hands.
The future can feel uncertain. Markets fluctuate. Industries evolve. Economic conditions change. Personal circumstances shift unexpectedly.
When uncertainty increases, the temptation is to rely more heavily on your own understanding.
But Proverbs offers a different path.
Trust begins where certainty ends.
Trust means believing that God's wisdom exceeds your own. It means recognizing that He sees what you cannot see and knows what you cannot know.
This does not eliminate planning. It simply places planning under God's authority.
You still prepare. You still work diligently. You still make wise decisions.
But your confidence rests in God's faithfulness rather than your ability to predict the future.
The same God who has guided you in the past will guide you in the days ahead.
You can trust Him with what you cannot see.

• What future concern is creating anxiety for me right now?
• Where am I relying too heavily on my own understanding?
• How has God proven His faithfulness in past seasons?
Action Step
Spend time today surrendering one future concern to God and intentionally choosing trust over worry.
Prayer
Father, help me trust You with my future. Give me peace when uncertainty arises and confidence in Your faithful guidance. Amen.
