Trusting God with Uncertain Outcomes [Attorney #85]

Trusting God with Uncertain Outcomes [Attorney #85]

Scripture

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Devotional

Uncertainty is a constant in legal work. Outcomes depend on many factors beyond your control—decisions made by others, changing circumstances, and variables you cannot predict.

This can create stress and a desire to control every detail.

But Scripture calls you to trust.

Trust does not mean you stop preparing or striving for excellence. It means you recognize the limits of your control and place the outcome in God’s hands.

You are responsible for your effort, your integrity, and your decisions. God is responsible for the results.

When you try to carry both, you become overwhelmed. When you release the outcome to Him, you find peace.

Trusting God allows you to work with confidence without being consumed by anxiety.

You can give your best, knowing that He is ultimately in control.

Reflection Questions

• Where am I struggling with uncertainty right now?

• How can I release control and trust God more fully?

Action Step

Identify one uncertain situation and intentionally release it to God in prayer before continuing your work.

Prayer

Father, help me trust You with what I cannot control. Give me peace in uncertainty and confidence in Your plan. Amen.
