Using Success with Humility [Banker #118]

Scripture

“What do you have that you did not receive?” — 1 Corinthians 4:7

Devotional

Success can be both a blessing and a test.

Achievements, promotions, recognition, and financial success can create opportunities for influence and impact. But success also carries the temptation of pride and self-reliance.

Scripture reminds you that every ability, opportunity, and blessing ultimately comes from God.

Humility keeps success in proper perspective. It reminds you that your accomplishments are not solely the result of your own effort, but also the grace and provision of God working in your life.

True humility does not diminish hard work or responsibility. Instead, it acknowledges God as the ultimate source of wisdom, strength, and opportunity.

Humility also changes how you treat others. It allows you to remain teachable, approachable, and compassionate rather than prideful or self-focused.

Today, thank God for every opportunity and success He has entrusted to you, and steward those blessings with humility.
