Walking in Daily Dependence [Financial Advisor #60]

Listen to devotional here.

Scripture: “Give us today our daily bread.” — Matthew 6:11

Devotional

In a profession focused on long-term planning, it can be easy to overlook the importance of daily dependence on God.

Jesus taught His disciples to pray for daily bread—not monthly, not yearly, but daily. This reflects a posture of continual trust, recognizing that every need, every opportunity, every moment is sustained by God.

You plan for the future—but you live in the present. And in the present, you are invited to depend on God for wisdom, strength, and provision.

Daily dependence keeps your heart aligned. It reminds you that you are not self-sufficient. It draws you into a closer relationship with God—not just as a distant provider, but as a present guide.

Before the meetings, before the decisions, before the tasks—pause and depend.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How often do you rely on your own strength instead of God’s daily provision?

  2. What would it look like to begin each workday with intentional dependence?

  3. How can you stay spiritually connected throughout your day?

Prayer

Lord, I depend on You today. Give me the wisdom, strength, and provision I need. Help me walk closely with You in every moment.
