Humility is one of the clearest marks of a life being transformed by Christ.
This week, you likely experienced moments that tested your humility. Perhaps someone overlooked your contribution. Maybe you received criticism that was difficult to hear. Perhaps someone else received recognition you hoped would come your way. Or maybe success tempted you to believe your accomplishments were primarily the result of your own abilities.
These moments reveal what is happening beneath the surface.
Biblical humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less. It recognizes that every ability, every opportunity, every success, and every blessing ultimately comes from God. It allows you to celebrate others without comparison, receive correction without defensiveness, and serve without seeking recognition.
As you reflect on this past week, ask God to show you where pride may have quietly influenced your thoughts or actions. Pride often disguises itself as self-sufficiency, the need to be right, the desire for recognition, or the reluctance to admit mistakes.
The wonderful news is that God does not expose pride to shame us. He reveals it so He can replace it with the freedom that comes through humility.
Jesus—the King of kings—washed His disciples' feet. If our Savior embraced humble service, then humility is not weakness; it is Christlikeness.
Today, thank God for every reminder that your life and work belong to Him. The more humble your heart becomes, the more room there is for His grace to work through you.

Action Step
Think of someone who contributed to your week in a meaningful way but may not have received recognition. Reach out today with a sincere word of appreciation or encouragement.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for every good gift You have placed in my life. Forgive me for the times pride has shaped my attitudes or actions. Give me a humble heart that seeks Your glory instead of my own. Help me value others, receive correction with grace, and serve with joy, following the example of Jesus. Amen.
