Scripture: “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” — Ephesians 4:2
Devotional
Even your best clients will sometimes disappoint you. They may disregard your advice, respond unkindly, delay payment, or make impulsive decisions that derail long-term plans. In those moments, frustration is natural—but faithfulness still matters.
You are not just managing money—you are shepherding people. And people are imperfect. As a Christian financial advisor, your witness is most powerful when it is marked by gentleness, patience, and grace.
This doesn’t mean enabling irresponsibility. It means leading with love even when correction is needed. It means refusing to gossip, retaliate, or act out of irritation. Your tone in hard moments will either reinforce or undermine your Kingdom influence.
Remember, you serve a Savior who washed the feet of disciples He knew would fail Him. His gentleness wasn't weakness—it was strength under control.
Reflection Questions:
How do you usually respond when clients frustrate or disappoint you?
What does it look like to bear with others in love while still setting wise boundaries?
How can you invite the Holy Spirit into your client relationships during tense moments?
Prayer
Jesus, give me patience and gentleness when others fall short. Teach me to serve with grace, even when I feel wronged or dismissed. Help me reflect Your heart in every interaction.
