Scripture: “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” — Mark 8:36 (ESV)

Devotional

There will be times in your sales career when integrity has a clear price tag. You might lose a deal because you refused to mislead. You might miss a bonus because you reported the truth. You might disappoint a manager because you wouldn’t cross a line.

In those moments, you feel the cost—but you must also remember the gain. You have gained a clear conscience. You have gained alignment with Christ. You have gained a testimony that cannot be bought.

Jesus reminds us that no worldly profit is worth the loss of our soul. A compromised conscience may bring temporary benefits, but it slowly erodes your inner life and your witness.

When integrity costs you, you are sharing in the sufferings of Christ in a small but meaningful way. He sees. He knows. And He will reward what others overlook.

Reflection Questions:

·       Have I ever chosen compromise instead of integrity to protect my income or status?

·       What recent or upcoming decision may require costly obedience?

·       How does Jesus’ question in Mark 8:36 reframe my view of loss and gain?

Prayer

Lord, give me courage to choose You over comfort, truth over gain, and obedience over approval. When integrity is costly, remind me that You are worth more than anything I might lose. Amen.
