When Serving Requires Repetition [Commercial Broker #115]
Scripture
“To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you.” — Philippians 3:1 (ESV)
Devotional
Commercial transactions involve many moving parts, and clients—busy, stressed, or unfamiliar with the process—often forget things you’ve explained. You may find yourself thinking, “We already covered this!” But serving with excellence means being willing to repeat things patiently, kindly, and clearly.
Paul wrote the same truths to the church repeatedly because he knew repetition leads to safety and understanding. Likewise, your willingness to re-explain concepts, resend details, or reconfirm steps protects clients from costly mistakes and confusion.
Repetition is not inefficiency—it’s care. It’s you saying, “I’m here to walk with you, not rush you.” That tenderness builds lasting trust and eases your clients’ anxiety.
Every time you patiently restate something, you’re reflecting the patience God shows you daily.
Reflection Questions
Do I become frustrated too quickly when clients ask for information again?
How can I view repetition not as inconvenience but as service?
Prayer
Father, give me patience to repeat what others need to hear. Help me see repetition as a way to love and guide rather than a burden. Amen.
