Scripture: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” — 2 Corinthians 12:9a
Devotional
Even seasoned professionals have moments of doubt—when a client’s needs seem too complex, market conditions too volatile, or responsibilities too heavy. As a Christian advisor, these moments of inadequacy are not setbacks—they’re sacred invitations to rely on God.
Paul reminds us that God’s power isn’t displayed through our strength, but through our dependence. Your limitations don’t disqualify you—they deepen your need for grace. When you feel inadequate, you’re positioned to draw near to Christ and invite His strength into your weakness.
Clients may expect confidence and clarity, but don’t confuse professionalism with perfection. Let your humility open the door to deeper trust—both with clients and with God. His grace is sufficient not just to sustain you, but to shine through you.
Reflection Questions:
Where are you currently feeling inadequate or under-equipped in your work?
How does God’s promise of strength in weakness speak to that area?
What would it look like to rely more on grace than grit this week?
Pray
Jesus, I confess my limits—but I trust Your strength. Be strong where I am weak. Let my inadequacies be covered by Your all-sufficient grace today.
