Scripture: “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name.” — Hebrews 6:10 (ESV)
Devotional
In a sales organization, it can hurt deeply to feel overlooked—passed over for recognition, credit, or opportunity. Maybe a manager favored someone else, or your unseen contributions went unnoticed. Injustice, real or perceived, can breed resentment if left unchecked.
Hebrews reminds you that even when people overlook you, God does not. He sees every honest effort, every act of service, every unseen seed of faithfulness you’ve sown. He is not unjust. He will not forget.
This doesn’t mean you never speak up professionally when something truly needs to be addressed. But it does mean you don’t allow bitterness to take root. You entrust your reputation and reward to the Lord, knowing He is a far better judge and promoter than any human leader.
Your peace rests not in being seen by everyone, but in being fully seen and valued by Him.
Reflection Questions:
· Where do I feel overlooked, minimized, or unfairly treated right now?
· How have I allowed those feelings to shape my heart or behavior?
· What does it look like to entrust my work and recognition to God?
Prayer
Father, thank You that You see what others may miss. Heal any bitterness in my heart and help me trust You to honor faithfulness in Your way and time. Keep my heart soft and my hands diligent. Amen.
