When You Feel Overwhelmed by the Unknown [Sales Professional #154]

Scripture

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (ESV)

Devotional

Sometimes you aren’t overwhelmed by what you know—you’re overwhelmed by what you don’t know:

Will this account renew?

Will this change affect my territory?

Will leadership shift direction again?

Will this new quota be achievable?

God rarely gives you the full map; He gives you a lamp—for your feet, not your horizon. You may only see the next step, not the next mile. That’s not a flaw; it’s an invitation to dependence.

His Word provides enough light for today’s decisions. His Spirit guides you moment by moment. Walk in the light you have, trusting God with the parts you cannot see.

Reflection Questions

What unknowns are causing me the most anxiety right now?

Am I seeking clarity from God’s Word, or only from circumstances?

What “next step” has God already made clear?

Prayer

Lord, shine Your light on my path. Help me walk by faith, not fear, trusting You with the unknown. Lead me step by step as I follow Your Word. Amen.
