Scripture: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God.” — James 1:5
Devotional
Every day as an accountant, you make decisions—some small and routine, others complex and weighty. While knowledge and experience guide many of these choices, there are moments when clarity is not immediate. In those moments, wisdom becomes essential.
Wisdom is more than knowing facts; it is understanding how to apply truth rightly. It involves discernment, timing, and perspective. Scripture reminds us that wisdom is not something we must generate on our own—it is a gift God willingly provides.
When faced with difficult decisions, it can be tempting to rely solely on logic or past experience. While these are valuable, they are incomplete without God’s guidance. Inviting Him into your decision-making process brings clarity and peace that go beyond human understanding.
Seeking wisdom requires humility. It acknowledges that you do not have all the answers and that God sees what you cannot. It also requires patience, allowing time for reflection, prayer, and thoughtful consideration.
God honors those who seek His wisdom sincerely. He does not withhold guidance from those who ask with a willing heart.
Today, before making decisions—large or small—pause and invite God’s wisdom into the process.
