Scripture
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God… and it will be given to you.” — James 1:5
Devotional
Banking decisions often carry significant weight. Whether advising a client, evaluating risk, or navigating complex financial situations, wisdom is essential.
But true wisdom goes beyond knowledge and experience. It comes from God.
You may have training, data, and insight—but there are moments when human understanding isn’t enough. That’s when prayer becomes your greatest resource.
God invites you to seek His wisdom in every decision, big or small. He sees what you cannot see. He understands the long-term impact of choices in ways you never could.
When you pause to seek Him, you align your work with His perspective. You move from relying solely on logic to depending on divine guidance.
Wisdom doesn’t always mean the easiest or most profitable path—it means the right one.
Reflection Questions
• Do I regularly seek God’s wisdom in my decisions?
• Where do I tend to rely on my own understanding instead of His?
Action Step
Before making a decision today, pause and ask God for wisdom.
Prayer
Father, grant me wisdom beyond my own understanding. Guide my decisions so they reflect Your truth and lead to what is right. Amen.
