Scripture: Psalm 127:1 — “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”
Devotional
God did not design you to work alone. From the beginning, work was a partnership—God creating and humanity stewarding, God providing and humanity cultivating, God directing and humanity obeying. Work becomes frustrating when we assume everything depends on us. It becomes fulfilling when we trust that God is working through us.
Your job is not merely your responsibility; it is your ministry assignment. God is present in your workplace. He empowers, guides, strengthens, and blesses your efforts. When you invite Him into your work, you experience His presence in profound and practical ways.
Partnership with God transforms work from a source of stress into a source of purpose. He is the Master Builder, and you are His co-laborer.
Reflection Questions:
Where have you been working in your own strength instead of partnering with God?
What would it look like to invite God into your tasks today?
How might your attitude shift if you believed God was working beside you?
Prayer
Lord, I don’t want to build anything apart from You. Work through me today. Guide my decisions and strengthen my efforts. Let my work become a partnership with You. Amen.
