Work Is Worship [Financial Advisor #2]

Scripture: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”— Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

Devotional

The financial world often celebrates outcomes—numbers, growth, performance. And while results matter, God is looking deeper. He’s watching the heart behind the work.

As a Christian financial planner, your daily work—researching, presenting, advising, solving—is not just a job. It’s worship. Every client meeting, email, or spreadsheet can become an offering to God when it’s done with excellence, integrity, and faithfulness.

You don’t need a pulpit to do ministry. You don’t need a title to honor God. Your work is your ministry. And when you do it with all your heart, for His glory—not just for commissions, praise, or approval—you transform ordinary tasks into acts of spiritual obedience.

This is liberating: You are free from trying to impress people. You’re serving a higher audience—One who knows your motives, sees your diligence, and receives your effort as worship.

Reflection Question:

How would your work change if you truly believed God was your client, your boss, and your audience?

Prayer

Lord, help me see my work through Your eyes—not just as a way to earn, but as a way to worship. Give me joy in the tasks no one sees, and integrity in the decisions I make. May every conversation, plan, and recommendation I offer reflect Your character and glorify Your name.
