Working with Peace in a Chaotic Environment [Sales Professional #151]

Scripture

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.” — Colossians 3:15 (ESV)

Devotional

Sales floors can be chaotic—ringing phones, loud conversations, urgent requests, last-minute changes. In that chaos, you may feel your internal world becoming just as frantic. But Paul gives a powerful instruction: let the peace of Christ rule in your heart.

To “let” something rule means to willingly yield authority. You can choose to let Christ’s peace, not your circumstances, govern your inner life. This peace does not depend on quiet surroundings or perfect workflows. It flows from knowing that Jesus is Lord over your day, your deadlines, and your future.

When you allow His peace to rule, you become a stabilizing presence in a hectic atmosphere. Clients sense it. Coworkers notice it. And your own heart finds rest in the One who is never shaken.

Reflection Questions

What situations at work most often disrupt my peace?

Am I letting circumstances rule my heart, or Christ’s peace?

How can I create small “peace pauses” throughout my day?

Prayer

Jesus, let Your peace rule in my heart today. Calm my mind, settle my emotions, and make me a steady presence in a chaotic environment. Rule my heart with Your peace. Amen.
