You Were Made to Create [TDPOW #17]

Scripture: Exodus 35:35 — “…He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by craftsmen…”

Devotional

From the earliest pages of Scripture, God fills people with skill—builders, designers, artisans, craftsmen, thinkers, organizers, planners, and leaders. Creativity is not limited to art; it includes problem-solving, innovation, strategy, craftsmanship, writing, teaching, and far more.

When you use your skills, you participate in God’s creative work. He wired your mind to imagine and your hands to build. He gave you gifts that bless others and bring Him glory. Your creativity is a reflection of His creativity.

Never underestimate the spiritual value of your work. The skills you possess—whether technical, relational, or artistic—are divine deposits meant to be developed. Growth is worship. Excellence is stewardship. Creativity is obedience.

You were made to create because you were made by a Creator.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What skills has God uniquely given you?

  2. How can you use your creativity to bless others today?

  3. Where might God be calling you to grow or develop your abilities?

Prayer

Creator God, thank You for the skills and abilities You’ve placed within me. Help me use them with excellence and purpose. Teach me to create in ways that honor You and serve others. Amen.
