Scripture: “So God created man in His own image…” — Genesis 1:27 (ESV)
Devotional
Every person you speak to—whether a warm referral or a difficult lead—is created in the image of God. That truth changes everything about how you interact in sales.
Clients are not commissions. Prospects are not obstacles. Customers are not stepping stones to success. They are human beings with stories, struggles, needs, fears, hopes, families, and eternal value.
When you begin to see each person as an image-bearer of God, your tone softens, your patience grows, and your priorities shift. Sales becomes less about “closing” and more about caring.
Jesus never rushed past people. He saw them, listened to them, honored them. You follow His example when you treat every client with dignity—whether they buy from you or not.
Seeing people as God sees them shapes not only your ethics, but your heart. It moves you from transactional selling to transformational impact.
Reflection Questions:
· How often do I consciously remember that clients are made in God’s image?
· What changes when I view each conversation as holy ground?
· Who is one customer I can show greater dignity and patience toward today?
Prayer
Lord, help me see every person the way You do. Give me compassion, patience, and honor for the people I encounter in my work. Let my interactions reflect Your heart for them. Amen.
