Your Work Is Worship [Financial Advisor #26]

Scripture: “Therefore, I urge you... to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” — Romans 12:1

Devotional

Worship is often associated with church gatherings, music, or prayer. But Scripture teaches that your whole life—including your work—is worship. Every spreadsheet, phone call, and client meeting can become an offering to the Lord when approached with reverence, purpose, and integrity.

You don’t need to be in a sanctuary to glorify God. You can honor Him through careful planning, compassionate counsel, and ethical diligence. When your motivation is to please Christ rather than impress clients or outpace competitors, your labor becomes holy.

The financial world often divides the “sacred” from the “secular.” But in Christ, there is no divide. Every task, when surrendered to God, is infused with eternal meaning. You are not just performing transactions—you are participating in transformation. Your work, done with excellence and humility, is a living sacrifice.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Do you view your daily work as worship, or merely as a job?

  2. What mindset shifts would help you offer your labor more intentionally to God?

  3. How can you remind yourself throughout the day that God is present in your work?

Prayer

Lord, receive my work as worship. I offer every task and decision to You today. Let my efforts bring You joy and reflect Your goodness in the marketplace.
