Character Over Charisma [Sales Professional #18]

Scripture: “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches.” — Proverbs 22:1 (ESV)

Devotional

Sales often rewards charisma—being polished, persuasive, confident, engaging. While charisma can open doors, character keeps them open.

Your reputation is one of your greatest assets. A trustworthy salesperson is rare and therefore deeply valued. Clients remember honesty, reliability, and integrity long after they forget the presentation.

Character means you keep your word.

Character means you show up on time.

Character means you follow through.

Character means you tell the truth even when it costs you.

Charisma may win attention, but character earns loyalty. The world celebrates charm, but God honors integrity. Let your strength come not from your personality, but from a heart that mirrors Christ.

Reflection Questions:

·       What aspects of my character need strengthening?

·       Would clients describe me as trustworthy?

·       Where can I prioritize character over impression this week?

Prayer

Lord, shape my character to reflect Yours. Help me value integrity above image, and truth above appearance. Make my reputation a testimony that points others to You. Amen.
