Scripture: “Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Reflection:

Much of the work we do on earth is temporary. Projects are completed, promotions are celebrated, and businesses grow or fade. Yet, Scripture assures us that labor done for the Lord has eternal value. When we align our work with God’s purposes, it contributes to His kingdom and leaves a legacy that lasts forever.

Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 15:58 that no effort for God is wasted. Even tasks that seem insignificant gain eternal significance when done with faith and obedience. Whether it’s mentoring a colleague, serving a customer with kindness, or using your resources to bless others, your work reflects God’s love and advances His mission.

Eternal impact doesn’t mean abandoning worldly work; it means approaching it with a higher purpose. Every interaction, decision, and effort can point others to Christ and bring glory to God. When you focus on what truly matters—people, relationships, and faith—you store treasures in heaven that cannot fade.

As you labor each day, remember that you are part of something far greater than yourself. Trust that God is using your work to transform lives and contribute to His eternal plan.

Application Question / Challenge:

What aspects of your work have eternal significance? Identify one way you can invest in relationships or faith-based actions at work this week.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the assurance that my labor for You is never in vain. Help me to see the eternal value in my work and to invest in what truly matters for Your kingdom. Amen.
