Scripture: “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.” (Proverbs 3:9)
Reflection: Financial stewardship is an act of worship and trust. Proverbs 3:9 calls us to honor God with our wealth by giving Him the firstfruits of what we receive. This principle reminds us that our resources come from Him and should be used to glorify His name.
Faithful financial stewardship includes generosity, responsibility, and gratitude. When we give to God, whether through tithes, offerings, or acts of kindness, we acknowledge His provision and align our priorities with His kingdom.
Jesus warned against the dangers of loving money (Matthew 6:24), emphasizing that our hearts should be set on eternal treasures rather than material wealth. Financial stewardship involves using what we have to bless others, support ministry, and meet the needs of our communities.
By trusting God with our finances, we experience freedom from worry and discover the joy of giving. Stewardship is not about how much we have but how faithfully we manage it for His glory.
Application Question / Challenge: How can you honor God with your finances this week? Consider giving generously to someone in need or supporting a ministry.
Prayer: Father, thank You for providing for my needs. Teach me to steward my finances with wisdom and generosity, trusting You with every aspect of my resources. Help me to honor You in all I do. Amen.
