Scripture: “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” (Genesis 2:15)

Reflection: From the beginning, God entrusted humanity with the care of His creation. Genesis 2:15 reveals that stewardship of the earth is part of our divine calling, reflecting His care and order. Caring for creation means using the earth’s resources wisely and responsibly. It’s about protecting what God has made, ensuring that future generations can experience its beauty and abundance. This stewardship extends to how we treat animals, the environment, and the natural world.

Jesus affirmed the value of creation in His teachings, using nature to illustrate God’s provision and glory. When we care for the earth, we honor its Creator and reflect His love for all He has made.

Stewardship of creation also reminds us of our interconnectedness with others. By preserving resources and acting sustainably, we show love for our neighbors and demonstrate our commitment to God’s command to care for His world.

Application Question / Challenge: What actions can you take to care for God’s creation this week? Identify one habit or change that reflects responsible stewardship of the earth.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the beauty and abundance of Your creation. Teach me to steward the earth wisely, honoring You through how I care for what You have entrusted to us. Help me to reflect Your love in all I do. Amen.
