Scripture: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5)

Reflection:

Business decisions often come with uncertainty and pressure, but James 1:5 assures us that God provides wisdom generously to those who seek it. Trusting Him with our decisions means relying on His infinite knowledge and understanding, rather than solely on our own insights.

When faced with choices, it’s easy to default to worldly strategies or advice. However, God invites us to bring every decision to Him in prayer, seeking His perspective and direction. This doesn’t mean neglecting practical planning—it means placing our plans under His authority.

The Bible offers countless examples of leaders who sought God’s guidance in their decisions. Nehemiah, for instance, prayed and fasted before approaching the king to rebuild Jerusalem. His trust in God resulted in favor and success.

Trusting God in business decisions requires patience and faith. Even when His answers are not immediate or align with our expectations, we can rest assured that His plans are for our good and His glory.

Application Question / Challenge:

What major decision are you facing in your work or business? Spend time in prayer, asking God for wisdom and clarity.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for offering wisdom so generously. Help me to seek Your guidance in every decision I face. Teach me to trust Your timing and direction, knowing that Your plans are perfect. Amen.
