Scripture: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.” (1 Peter 4:10)

Reflection:

Stewardship is at the heart of work. God has entrusted us with time, talents, and resources, and He calls us to use them wisely for His glory and the benefit of others. When we view work as a means of stewardship, it becomes an act of worship and responsibility.

Every role we take on, whether in a career, home, or community, is an opportunity to steward what God has given us. Faithful stewardship means not only using our skills but also cultivating them to their fullest potential. This requires intentionality, humility, and a focus on God’s purposes.

The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30) illustrates the importance of stewardship. The servants who invested their master’s resources were rewarded, while the one who buried his talent was rebuked. This story reminds us that God values diligence and initiative in how we manage His gifts.

Stewardship also includes how we care for the people and opportunities God places in our path. When we approach work with this mindset, we honor the Giver of all good things and contribute to His kingdom.

Application Question / Challenge:

What gifts or resources has God entrusted to you? Identify one way you can use them more faithfully in your work this week.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the gifts and opportunities You have given me. Teach me to be a faithful steward, using all that I have to serve others and glorify You. Amen.
