Scripture: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Reflection:

Work is a powerful platform for witnessing to others. Every interaction, decision, and attitude can reflect the love of Christ and point others to Him. Matthew 5:16 reminds us to let our light shine, not for personal recognition, but to glorify God.

A Christlike work ethic—characterized by integrity, kindness, and excellence—stands out in a world often marked by selfishness and competition. When coworkers see your consistency and humility, they may be drawn to ask about the Source of your peace and strength.

Witnessing at work doesn’t always require words. Simple acts of kindness, patience under pressure, and a willingness to serve can speak volumes about your faith. Over time, these actions build credibility and open doors for deeper conversations about God.

Your work is an opportunity to plant seeds of faith. Trust that God will water those seeds and use your witness to bring others closer to Him.

Application Question / Challenge:

How can you let your light shine at work this week? Look for one opportunity to reflect Christ’s love through your actions or words.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to be a witness for You in my workplace. Teach me to shine Your light through my actions, words, and attitude, so that others may see Your love and truth. Amen.
