Scripture: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth... but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” (Matthew 6:19-20)

Reflection:

Earthly accomplishments fade, but work done for God endures forever. Matthew 6:19-20 calls us to store up treasures in heaven, focusing on what has eternal significance rather than temporary re-wards.

Work that endures is work that reflects God’s values—acts of love, service, and faithfulness. These investments in relationships and His kingdom carry eternal weight, far beyond material success or recognition.

Jesus emphasized this eternal perspective in His teachings, reminding His followers to prioritize what truly matters. When we align our efforts with His mission, we contribute to a legacy that lasts forever.

This perspective transforms how we approach our daily tasks. Instead of chasing fleeting achievements, we focus on building His kingdom, trusting that He will multiply our efforts for His glory.

Application Question / Challenge:

What aspects of your work have eternal significance? Reflect on how you can invest in relationships or actions that contribute to God’s kingdom.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for reminding me to focus on what truly matters. Help me to prioritize eternal treasures over temporary rewards and to invest my efforts in Your kingdom. Use my work for Your glory and lasting impact. Amen.
