Your Identity Isn’t Your Production [Residential Broker #7]

Scripture: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…” — Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)

Devotional

In a sales-driven profession like real estate, it’s tempting to measure your worth by your numbers—your closings, your listings, your income. But your identity as a child of God has nothing to do with your production and everything to do with His purpose.

You were created intentionally. Redeemed fully. Assigned uniquely. Your value was settled at the cross, not at the closing table. When business is booming, God loves you. When business is slow, God loves you. Your worth never changes.

When you root your identity in Christ rather than your performance, you gain stability. The market may fluctuate, clients may change plans, deals may fall apart—but your foundation stands firm. Confidence flows from knowing who you belong to, not what you produce.

Reflection Questions:

·       Do I feel more valuable when business is good? Why?

·       What lies do I need to reject about my identity?

·       What truth from God’s Word can I cling to today?

Prayer

Lord, remind me that my identity is in You, not in my sales. Free me from performance-based thinking. Let my confidence come from being Your child. Amen.

This devotional is intended to help you integrate your faith into your daily work and calling. It is not a substitute for personal time with God in Scripture, prayer, and worship, which are essential for knowing Christ, loving Him deeply, and becoming more like Him.
