Scripture: “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”— 1 Corinthians 4:2 (NIV)
Devotional
In the marketplace, success is often defined by numbers—assets under management, new clients gained, deals closed, or growth year-over-year. But God’s definition of success is radically different: faithfulness.
You’ve been entrusted with more than money—you’ve been given people’s trust, influence in your community, and the daily opportunity to reflect the heart of Christ through your work. God isn’t asking you to be the most famous, the most followed, or even the most financially successful. He’s asking you to be faithful.
That means doing the right thing even when no one is watching. It means showing up with integrity, making decisions that honor Him, and putting the well-being of others before your bottom line. It means stewarding what you have today, even if it's not as much as you hoped.
Faithfulness may not always be glamorous—but it is eternal. Success fades, but the fruit of a faithful life lives on.
Reflection Question:
What area of your work have you been evaluating by worldly success instead of by spiritual faithfulness?
Prayer
God, remind me that You are not calling me to be impressive—You are calling me to be faithful. Teach me to pursue consistency over recognition, obedience over ambition, and character over applause. Help me to steward every opportunity today with excellence and trust You with the results.
